Getting your Real Estate license? 

Have you heard the news? The Oklahoma Association of REALTORS® has just launched the new OREC-approved Online Pre-license Class! That means you’ll have a new resource to offer potential associates as they start their real estate career.

The new online class offers:

  • Flexibility to take course any time — day or night
  • Ability to take course without interrupting your daytime work
  • Access to courses anywhere there is Internet access


The State of Oklahoma mandates 90 hours of course work and successful completion of a state examination to obtain a real estate license.  Upon completion of these requirements, all Real Estate professionals are classified as Provisional Sales Associates for one year.  During that year, Provisional Sales Associates work under the supervision of a Real Estate Broker and must complete an additional 45 hours of training.

Post License Training

Who needs a real estate license?

People who perform the duties of a Real Estate Broker or are paid a fee for listing, selling, leasing or managing real property must be licensed in the State of Oklahoma.

 

What does Oklahoma require after I am licensed?

1.  Within the first year of your license issue date, you mush complete a 45-hour post-license course.

2.  Licenses must be renewed every three years on the last day of the month of issue.

3.  To renew your license, you must complete 21 hours of continuing education within the three-year period.

 

What should I expect when I am starting out?
